Joan Dinkelspiel graduated from the Thesis Certificate Program at Photographic Center Northwest Seattle in 2017 where her work has been exhibited. The Vashon Center for the Arts featured her Layers of Water project in commemoration of Earth Day in 2020. Her work is on display at a healthcare clinic in Seattle’s Central District. Joan also has public art in the Seattle Metro bus shelter project and in The Fence Project in collaboration with Friends of the Waterfront Seattle. Her work is also featured in private collections around the Seattle area as well as in NYC and San Francisco. Her editorial work has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, other venues in the Bay Area and elsewhere.
Joan’s fine art photography includes work related to environmental concerns, portraiture, social justice, and relationship with place.
